There is a line in the Tomb Raider: Anniversary documentary (found on the bonus DVD) that really got me thinking. It was mentioned that Tomb Raider is one of the oldest surviving game franchises around, having been around for 11 years and over seven sequels (if you count just the PC versions). That is practically as long as James Bond if you convert from movie franchise years to PC game years (yes, time is relative).
